Sleeping can be such a challenge

Many of us suffer from sleep debt.  This sleep debt, caused by repeated lack of good sleep, can really cause problems with the mind and the body.  Some problems are as simple as brain fog or as serious as a degenerative mental disorder.   When one takes that into consideration, it really magnifies the importance of a good night’s sleep.

Do you have trouble falling asleep? 

If so there are many options to consider but the most important factor is following a routine to prepare for sleep.  Maybe a warm bath or shower with lavender soap, followed by lavender body oil or lotion.  Maybe a warm cup of tea, in a dimly lite room, while practicing breathing meditation.  These things can encourage a calmer mind and body in preparation for rest.

Do you have problems staying asleep?

In this case, there can be a tendency to just get up and forget it.  But, this again will increase your sleep debt and potentially bring you closer to a more serious problem.  If this occurs, consider an additional serving of one of the “ready for sleep” options.  These possible solutions are considered “as needed options” and can be reapplied as long as you still have about four hours before its time to rise.

The most important goal here is to get good sleep.​
