This is our place in the sunshine.
We are located south of Montgomery, TX with 12 acres of
beautiful trees and gardens surrounding our house and barns.
There is always somethin' goin' on around here.
Sometimes it's big and sometimes it's small. Whatever it is, it's always fun and fascinating.
We have added a new garden area where the front yard
use to be. Why have grass when you can have edible landscape??? We just turned the grass under and planted more
veggies so there is no more mowing!!!
The garden
is at half function right now with the fall crop in the greenhouse. We still have lots of eggplants and peppers harvesting
daily as well as okra and cucumbers.
For those of
you who have enjoyed a nice hot cup of our Sabdrifa & Spice Tea, you will be glad to know the crop looks great and the
harvest will be twice what it was last year if all goes well.
The calyces must be harvested and dried to produce
this lovely magenta hibiscus tea. The plants are just beginning to bloom and form these juicy little treats.
Everywhere we look there is beauty at work.
